After world premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival and touring over 50 cities in person, we are finally making the film available as a special one-time film drop!

The event includes limited merchandise items for sale at ticket check out including a companion zine for the film – with full lyrics to all songs in the film so you can follow along! T-shirts, posters and CDs are also available in limited amounts.

These items are not otherwise available online. Conversation and Q&A with the director will follow the screening.

The film will be screening on the 17th of August and will start at 4pm (PST) and 7pm (EST) and will run for 2 hours including the Q&A! Note: the screening starts on time – joining late means you will miss out!

The Film:

At age 15, feminist icon and activist Ani DiFranco was living on her own and a singer-songwriter star in the coffee house music scene.

At 19, she started Righteous Babe, her own record label, and released her self-titled first album a year later in 1990. She has put out 23 albums and collaborated with Pete Seeger, Cyndi Lauper, and Prince.

With intimate access to the 54-year-old’s creative and personal life — now married, a mother of two, and still “DIY all the way” — Dana Flor introduces the viewer to an artistically evolving, ardently self-evaluating version of the rebel prodigy; and draws the audience into the vulnerable, real-time struggles of a middle-aged righteous babe.
