Celebrate Bugs and Critters at Bernheim’s BugFest 2024

CLERMONT, KENTUCKY September 6, 2024—This September, Bernheim Forest, and Arboretum will come alive with the buzz and excitement of BugFest on September 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Join us for a day filled with fun activities as we explore insects and their incredible relatives. BugFest celebrates insects’ essential role in our lives and the vital ecological services they provide to our environment.

Highlights of BugFest Include:

Parade of Bugs: Witness a colorful and lively Parade of Bugs showcasing the diversity and beauty of these fascinating creatures.
Bug Safaris: Embark on thrilling Bug Safaris held at various times throughout the day to discover insects in their natural habitats.
Insect Zoo: Transform your fears into fascination by meeting native insects and invertebrates up close.
Bug Concert with Mr. Dan: Enjoy a delightful Bug Concert with Mr. Dan that promises to be a fun-filled musical experience.
Meet Kevin Weiner: Meet Kevin Weiner, the creator of “All Bugs Go to Kevin,” along with his bug friends.
Bug-Themed Crafts: Get creative with bug-themed crafts and engage in hands-on activities.
Nature Discovery Stations: Spark curiosity and wonder with interactive and educational nature discovery stations.
Storytime in the Edible Garden: Delight in a “buggy” storytime set amidst the serene surroundings of the Edible Garden.
Bug Parade: Dress up as your favorite critter and join the Bug Parade at 1:30 p.m. for a whimsical and festive procession.
