Camp Taylor Community Nights | family friendly, free
Councilwoman Raymond hosts five free Camp Taylor Community Nights
May 27, 2025
Louisville (May 27, 2025) – Councilwoman Josie Raymond (D-10) invites District 10 families and residents to a series of free, family-friendly events this summer at Camp Taylor Memorial Park, located at 4201 Lee Avenue.
Due to the delayed reopening of the Camp Taylor pool, Councilwoman Raymond is reallocating operational and security funding to support alternative programming designed to bring the community together in fun and engaging ways.
The Camp Taylor Community Nights will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on select Thursday evenings: May 29, June 12, June 26, July 10, and July 24. Each evening will feature a variety of free activities, developed with input from residents through a community survey.
“I’m still heartbroken the pool won’t be ready this summer as originally planned,” said Councilwoman Raymond. “I’m excited to offer these creative and family-friendly community nights as a new way to connect and celebrate the district.”
Each event will highlight different themes and partners, with activities ranging from inflatables to a videogame truck to a petting zoo, and community institutions including the LouCity & Racing Louisville Foundation, Louisville Sports Commission, and Louisville Zoo. A special thanks to Louisville Parks and Recreation for making these events possible.
“I encourage all District 10 residents to join us in the park this summer. Let’s make the most of these evenings and build stronger community bonds,” said Raymond.
