On this spirited experience, guests will hear true ghost stories at two favorite Haunts on Whiskey Row.

Along the way, you might hear enchantments and melodies from the Louisville Orchestra.

The first stop is Buzzard’s Roost Distillery & Tasting Room.

There, you’ll meet local paranormal investigator Fen Alankuş and her paranormal team (Feralore) and be escorted into the hidden Buzzard’s Roost Speakeasy. In the hidden room, the resident spirits will select your whiskey tasting choices with a pendulum, and you’ll be able to ask simple questions to the unseen guests.

The next stop is right around the corner at the mysterious Hereafter Speakeasy.

In this bar, you will visit their eclectic curio cabinet and then be seated in their highly active mezzanine (which is a former Civil War Map Room). You will select a tarot card from Fen. Your card will reveal your fated drink preference from a curated menu of Buzzard’s Roost signature cocktails, and the Feralore team will translate their meaning and message to you. You’ll even get the opportunity to investigate on your own!

How long is the event?

About 2 hours.

Can I book a private group?

Yes! Groups of 10 can book out a night for a private experience. Perfect for celebrations, team outings, or just because.

Will this event be scary?

This isn’t a haunted house with jump scares. It’s eerie, not terrifying. Think haunted history, ghost stories, and real spirit communication. You may feel chills or goosebumps, but the focus is atmosphere, mystery, and fun, not fear.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are available up to 7 days before your scheduled date. After that, tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another living soul!

Is photography or video allowed?

We ask guests to stay in the moment and keep phones tucked away. The experience is immersive, the lighting is low, and the spirits aren’t fond of paparazzi.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing and shoes are best. You’ll be moving between venues. Paranormal investigations are known for sudden temperature shifts, so bring a layer. (The dead don’t always keep things climate-controlled!)

Where does the experience start?

The adventure begins at Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey Row Experience in downtown Louisville, KY (full address will be in your confirmation email).

Do I need to drink alcohol to participate?

You don’t have to drink, but you’ll miss out on the whiskey tastings and your tarot cocktail. We can always get you a soda water, but this is designed as a whiskey-and-spirits experience in every sense of the word.

How many people are in each group?

Just 10 guests per experience, small enough to keep things intimate, and just the way the spirits prefer it.

Is parking available nearby?

Yes, there are paid garages and street parking options within a short walk of Whiskey Row. Please give yourself ample time to find parking so you don’t miss any of the experience. Favorite Haunts & Spirits is a weekend experience, so it can be a busy time downtown!

Is the event accessible?

Buzzard’s Roost and The Hereafter are ADA accessible. Part of the experience takes place in Misfit’s mezzanine (a historic Civil War map room, stair access only). Guests unable to access the stairs will still enjoy the full main experience.

Is this event 21+?

Yes! Guests must be 21 or older with a valid ID.

Is food included?

No, this experience is focused on whiskey, cocktails, and spirits. You’re welcome to grab a meal before or after on Whiskey Row.

Will we be outside?

Only briefly while moving between two venues on Whiskey Row. Most of the experience takes place indoors.

What makes this different from a ghost tour?

No long walks or rehearsed scripts. This is immersive and authentic. You’ll sit in speakeasies, sip whiskey, hear true history, and actually try communicating with the other side with professional paranormal investigators and psychics.

Will we really talk to spirits?

Every group is different. Some nights are more active, some are quieter. We’ve had plenty of spine-tingling moments, and you’ll get the chance to try real spirit communication for yourself!

Is there anything I can do to prepare to communicate with the spirits?

Yes! If you’d like to meditate or do some relaxing breathing before you arrive, that can really help! Also, if you have any lucky charms or talismans, feel free to bring them to help amplify the field. You will also have the opportunity to sync your energy with the group before we begin!

I’m afraid something might follow me home. Does that happen?

We always conclude with a cleansing and clearing, and guests are offered Florida Water for added peace of mind. Feralore is a very seasoned paranormal investigative team. You’ll leave with chills and stories, not spirits in tow!
