Louisville City FC will welcome international competition back to Lynn Family Stadium when hosting first division German club Eintracht Frankfurt at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 30!
The Bundesliga member won the Europa League in 2022 and will play again in the prestigious competition next season fresh off a sixth-place finish to the 2023-2024 campaign.

LouCity-Eintracht Frankfurt will mark City’s second international friendly against German competition after the club last year hosted FC Kaiserslautern. This, however, is the first time City will face top-division competition from overseas.
Founded in 1899, Eintracht Frankfurt’s accolades include a German Championship, five DFB-Pokal domestic cups and a pair of UEFA Cup/Europa League titles. The club — nicknamed the Eagles, a tribute to the city of Frankfurt’s coat of arms — has played in the Bundesliga in all but one season since 2006.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s roster is packed with national team talent, including Mario Götze, who scored the World Cup-winning goal for Germany in 2014. Frankfurt defender Robin Koch was also called up by Germany for this summer’s UEFA Euro 2024, and Willian Pacho represented Ecuador at Copa América.
