Louisville Ballet | “A Time Remembered: Two Holocaust Survivor Stories” (multiple performances)
A TIME REMEMBERED: TWO HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR STORIES
February 1-2, 2025 at Whitney Hall, The Kentucky Center
ACT I: Another Sunrise in partnership with Kentucky Opera
ACT II: Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project (Choreography by Stephen Mills)
Marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust, A Time Remembered features two works illuminating the stories of real-life holocaust survivors: Another Sunrise, a one-act opera which recounts the survival of Krystyna Zywulska, and Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project, a ballet inspired by the life of Naomi Warren. A journey through two stories of horrific loss, resilient survival, and profound healing, this concert of art, music, and movement offers powerful perspectives on the human spirit’s ability to overcome great tragedy.
Production in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Louisville and Kentucky Opera and in honor of Minx Auerbach; made possible by generous gifts from the Jewish Heritage Fund and the Auerbach family.
