Today kicks off the First Annual NATIONAL BOURBON WEEK in Bardstown, Kentucky – home to so many of our favorite bourbon distillers.
To celebrate, we’re teaming up with our good good buddy Chef Newman Miller (@bourbonandham) at Mr Tubs (@mrtubsbardstown) in Bardstown for some tasty bites and sweet bourbon treats.
I’ve just really been feeling our Nanban – it’s freakin delicious and reminds me of my summers in Japan. So we’re running it back with our 3rd variation of the dish, this time doing YAKI CHICKEN NANBAN. We’re grilling some thick juicy thighs, tossing them in our Nanban tare and topping that with a punchy Japanese-style tartar. Get it all as a set meal with rice, cabbage salad, and a marinated Japanese summer salad. Add-on our delicious salty, umami loaded potato chips – perfect with Mr Tubs choice beverages.
And we’ll be collabing with Mr Tubs’ team on a BOURBON ESPRESSO FLOAT featuring our HOJICHA MILK JAM SHERBET – a sweet collab with our friends at Retta’s Scoops (@rettasscoops)
