In Go and Do Likewise: How We Heal a Broken Country\, Beshear shares what his own faith has meant to him\, and how it has informed his family and public life. By regrounding faith in compassion and kindness\, Beshear believes we can start to heal as a country. Whether through organized religion or simply the golden rule\, his book is a reminder of the values that can truly unite us. \nMAUREEN DOWD is a columnist for The New York Times Opinion pages and a feature writer for The Times’ Style and Arts & Leisure sections. She won the Pulitzer Prize in 1999 in the commentary category. Dowd has covered ten presidential campaigns and served as White House correspondent during the first Bush administration and the Clinton administration.
