SUMMARY:KSBCF Braille and Ales
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night of knowledge and good beer. We will have a brewer guided beer and hot dog tasting from our friends at Trellis Brewing. We will also have stations to learn more about living in Louisville as a blind or low vision person. From Braille to Assistive Technology to White Canes\, come learn and have fun! \nThere is plenty of free parking at the brewery. \nOrganized by Kentucky School for the Blind Charitable Foundation\nSince 1984\, we’ve set out to level the educational playing field for blind and visually impaired students\, so they have the same advantages in the classroom as their sighted peers. \nSometimes it’s as easy as providing a braille writer to a budding poet or connecting families to resources. Sometimes it’s as lifechanging as awarding scholarships to promising students or funding grants to those who share our mission. It’s all in an effort to make the future brighter for visually impaired student and those lucky enough to work with them. \n***description from event website
