DESCRIPTION:The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) exists to strengthen families and individuals affected by mental illness through education\, support\, and advocacy. \nNAMI Louisville is your local affiliate of this nationally recognized group. We are the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. \nNAMI Louisville is membership-based and headed by our current Executive Director Nancy Brooks who answers to a board of local peers as well as is supported by a host of dedicated volunteers. \nWe are very excited to host our biggest annual fundraiser on September 12\, 2026\, with a fundraising goal of $100\,000. \nNAMIWalks Louisville will take place in downtown Louisville\, at Harbor Lawn in Waterfront Park (301 E River Rd\, Louisville\, KY 40202). \nWe have always aimed to meet the needs of our mental health community\, and so now more than ever our non-profit appreciates your support for our operation to continue this valuable work with the increasing demands for mental health education\, advocacy\, and support!

DESCRIPTION:Gilda’s West welcomes all to enjoy a fun day of old-fashioned games\, crafts\, inflatables\, and delicious treats on SAT\, SEPT 26 \nLOUISVILLE\, KY (August 2026)— All ages are welcome to join a day filled with family-friendly fun for “Gilda’s Old Fashioned Game Day” from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday\, September 26th at Gilda’s West\, 1720 W Broadway. Activities will be located in front of the Republic Bank Foundation YMCA building. This event is FREE and open to all! \nAll ages are welcome! Family-friendly highlights include: \n\nInflatables and face painting\nFood trucks and ice cream\nMusic with a DJ and line dancing\nSack races\, corn hole\, and volleyball\nBingo and games\nA cakewalk and sweet treats\nDoor prizes\n\nCommunity partners will be on-site to provide additional resources for families affected by cancer\, including Best Buy\, Hosparus\, Louisville Free Public Library\, and the YMCA. \nFor more information about “Gilda’s Old Fashioned Game Day\,” please call 502-751-3865. \n\nLocation: Gilda’s West\, 1720 W Broadway (in front of the Republic Bank Foundation YMCA building)\nEvent Host: Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana – Gilda’s West\n\n* * * \nGilda’s Club Kentuckiana (GCK)\, Gilda’s West\, Gilda’s Clark\, and Gilda’s Floyd\, provide places where children and adults with cancer (and their families and friends) join with others to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care. Since opening\, GCK has served more than 22\,000 people (one-quarter of whom are children) living with more than 100 different types of cancer.
