SUMMARY:Goldfish Swim School Open Family Swim (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)
DESCRIPTION:Come spend some time in our pool playing and practicing skills. \n\nCome swim at Goldfish Swim School – St. Matthews! \nWhether you want to help your children practice their swimming skills or your family needs some bonding time\, a Family Swim is a great way to spend an afternoon. Enjoy your day or evening in our shiver-free pool that’s heated to a pleasant 90°. \nMembers are FREE and non-members are $5/person and a max of $15/family. Payable at at the front desk on the day of the event. \nGoldfish Swim School Family Swim \nA Fun & Beneficial Experience for Any Family \nAs a parent\, you’re probably well aware that kids don’t truly know if they’ll enjoy something until they dive in and do it. Fortunately\, most kids love the water. \n  \nThis open swim time can benefit your whole family because: \n-You can teach your child about water safety & introduce him or her to the water \n-You can relax in our warm pool while your swimmer shows you his or her skills \n-You can determine if your child would benefit from swim lessons \n-Spending time in the pool together is a great way to get energy out \n-Your child will feel more comfortable with you in the water \n  \nPlease Note: For safety purposes\, swim tests are required for children who wish to swim independently. We require at least one adult to be in the water with each child who cannot swim independently during the open swim. \n  \nSWIM TEST REQUIRED: \nOur pool is 4’2” deep. All children that cannot touch with their head above water will be required to pass a swim test at the start of open swim or a birthday party.\nIn order to pass a swim test\, the child must swim 25 feet across the width of the pool head above water without struggle; Ellis Certified Lifeguard will make final determination.\nLifejackets or puddle jumpers that fasten around the center are required for all children that do not pass. Coast guard approved life jackets are available at the facility.\nWe do not allow single arm floaties that do not buckle around the chest for additional support.\nIf a guardian chooses to accompany the child in the pool 100% of the time\, they may remove floatation and practice swim skills with a guardian. \nOTHER REQUIREMENTS: \n· Only proper swim attire is permitted in the pool; no street clothes permitted. \n  \nPlease Note that Family Swim is CANCELLED on the 4th Saturday of each month to allow for team member training. There is no Family Swim scheduled on the following dates: \nJan 25th (4th Saturday) \nFeb 22nd (4th Saturday) \nMar 22nd (4th Saturday) \nApr 26th (4th Saturday) \nMay 17th (3rd Saturday\, due to Memorial Day) \nJun 28th (4th Saturday) \nJul 26th (4th Saturday) \nAug 23rd (4th Saturday) \nSeptember 20th (3rd Saturday due to Louisville Public School Fall Break) \nOct 25th (4th Saturday) \nNov 22nd (4th Saturday)

SUMMARY:Tiny Art Tales | kindergarten-readiness program
DESCRIPTION:Join Us for Tiny Art Tales Every Friday! \nJoin us every Friday from 10:30-11:15 AM for movement\, music\, and artmaking. This event is free and open to the public and led by KMAC’s amazing Education team. \nTiny Art Tales is a kindergarten-readiness program that promotes literacy\, body awareness\, and fine motor skills. The program strives to promote values of inclusivity\, equality\, positivity\, and love through the act of reading\, singing\, moving\, and art-making. \nParental/Caregiver participation is encouraged! We believe that children learn best from their caregivers when they model singing\, reading\, improvising\, and moving with their children. \n  \n\n“Tiny Art Tales allows my little ones the opportunity to open their minds to the world of art and craft through stories and activities that are unique and age appropriate. They love the freedom to explore through story time\, singing\, and making art!” \n– Lydia Sims
