The event will transform the distillery courtyard into a paradise full of water games\, local artists and live music. \nParticipants will be able to test their aim and cause a splash at the dunk tank\, rubber duck ball toss\, soaked sponge relay race\, and water balloon toss. Games include prizes\, guests are encouraged to bring their competitive spirit in the name of waterways conservation. \nWHAT:\nBrandy on the Banks\, benefitting Kentucky Waterways Alliance \nWHEN:\nSaturday\, July 27\, 2024\, Noon- 4 p.m. \nWHERE:\nCopper & Kings Courtyard\, 1121 E. Washington St. in Butchertown \nTICKETS:\nAll are welcome at this inclusive event\, which is free and open to the public. Donations at the door are encouraged. \nA number of local vendors will be set up at the event offering handcrafted art and wares. \nCopper & Kings will offer a range of their handcrafted spirits\, mixing up refreshing beach cocktails and tropical-inspired concoctions. Chef Josh Lehman will offer delicious eats via the outdoor container kitchen. \nThe event supports Kentucky Waterways Alliance\, a dedicated organization working to protect and preserve the precious water resources across the state. \nThroughout the event\, there will be opportunities for interested parties to engage with KWA on their work across Kentuckiana. \n“At the heart of KWA’s work is community\,” said Michael Washburn\, KWA’s Executive Director. “We work to bring people together to help restore\, protect\, and celebrate the Commonwealth’s most precious natural resource. We are honored to be a part of Brandy on the Banks\, not only because the day will support our continuing efforts to clean our waterways but because Copper & Kings is such a generous\, community-minded Louisville business.” \nFor 30 years\, Kentucky Waterways Alliance\, along with their members and thousands of volunteers\, have coordinated waterway cleanups across the state. They have removed hundreds of tons of trash from our waterways including thousands of tires\, a few shopping cats\, millions of plastic bottles\, lots of Styrofoam coolers\, and thousands of pounds of trash.
