SUMMARY:THE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH | presented by Time Slip Theatre
DESCRIPTION:“The ‘Red Death’ had long devastated the country. No pestilence had been ever so fatal\, or so hideous.” \nTHE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH is a moving\, interactive\, site-specific show inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s timeless tale and adapted by Time Slip Theatre. \nYou’re invited to join Prince Prospero at his castellated abbey for a masquerade ball. Here in seclusion\, you’re certain to outlast the Red Death\, right? Guests will be guided through the seven chambers of Prospero’s abbey and bear witness to all the horrors\, hallucinations and hysteria taking place therein. \nTHE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH is the final show of Time Slip’s 2025-26 Three-Part-Series and the first-ever to be presented at Time Slip’s new home in Old Louisville. \nThe show will run May 29 – June 7 at Time Slip Theatre. \nThere will be two shows per night: one at 7PM (Twilight) and one at 9PM (Moonlight). \nThose more nervous or averse to the dark should select the Twilight performance\, whereas those seeking more tantalizing terrors may select the Moonlight 9PM shows. \nIn both versions\, the audience will be moving through the space. Every route has accessibility paths. Please know there will be no seating throughout the experience as this is a show to be moved through\, not to be watched. \nGiven the interactive nature of this show no late entry will be permitted. If you arrive after your show’s scheduled start time\, you will not be admitted and not issued a refund. \nMasque of the Red Death is an intense experience involving strong language\, strobe effects\, sound effects\, blood\, and mature themes. Viewer discretion is advised. \n“To and fro in the seven chambers there stalked\, in fact\, a multitude of dreams.” \n\nFri\, May 29\, 7pm – 8:30pm EDT\nFri\, May 29\, 9pm – 10:30pm EDT\nSat\, May 30\, 7pm – 8:30pm EDT\nSat\, May 30\, 9pm – 10:30pm EDT\nSun\, May 31\, 7pm – 8:30pm EDT\nSun\, May 31\, 9pm – 10:30pm EDT\nMon\, Jun 1\, 7pm – 8:30pm EDT\nMon\, Jun 1\, 9pm – 10:30pm EDT\nThu\, Jun 4\, 7pm – 8:30pm EDT\nThu\, Jun 4\, 9pm – 10:30pm EDT\nFri\, Jun 5\, 7pm – 8:30pm EDT\nFri\, Jun 5\, 9pm – 10:30pm EDT\nSat\, Jun 6\, 7pm – 8:30pm EDT\nSat\, Jun 6\, 9pm – 10:30pm EDT\nSun\, Jun 7\, 7pm – 8:30pm EDT\nSun\, Jun 7\, 9pm – 10:30pm EDT

SUMMARY:Phantasmagoria - Touring Marionette Show (not a children's show)
DESCRIPTION:About the show: “PHANTASMAGORIA” is a marionette variety show featuring a rotating cast of characters all designed\, built\, and brought to life to an original score by Puppet Pants. \nSpecializing in marionette making and manipulation\, Puppet Pants delivers a wordless performance that has intrigued and delighted audiences of all ages and backgrounds across the United States. \nThe puppeteer performs in full view\, but fades into the background as clowns\, monsters\, and mysteries amuse and interact with the audience. \n“PHANTASMAGORIA” is filled with whimsical acts ranging from endearing to odd\, but always made for all backgrounds and ages to enjoy. Somewhat circusy\, a little edgy but tongue in cheek\, and ending with a call to action to believe in yourself and follow your dreams. \nDirector’s Note: “PHANTASMAGORIA” is not a children’s show\, but there aren’t any adult themes\, either. \nIt is designed to subvert expectations from a “typical” marionette variety show and can elicit an impactful emotional response from audience members. \nThere are themes of European Clown Theater\, pantomime\, music and dance\, acrobatics\, horror\, and endearing moments with the audience. The wordless performance allows audience members to take away their own interpretations of each piece.

SUMMARY:Time Slip Theatre presents Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill
DESCRIPTION:Time Slip Theatre Presents First Local Production of Alanis Morissette’s ‘Jagged Little Pill’ The Musical \nBased on the Alanis Morissette album\, the show will run in community partnership with Actors Theatre of Louisville\, January 30 – February 8th \n“Jagged Little Pill” is an exhilarating and cathartic musical theatre experience set to the music of the iconic 1995 album of the same name. From the outside looking in\, Mary Jane Healy lives the perfect life in her peaceful Connecticut suburb. Her husband Steve has a well-paying job in the city; her son Nick just got accepted into Harvard; and her adopted daughter Frankie is operating her own social advocacy student group. But beneath the surface\, there’s more than meets the eye for the Healy family. Mary Jane is struggling with addiction while doing everything she can to keep her family together in order to maintain the picture-perfect appearance she clings to. But when an incident at a high school party rocks this small community\, everyone is forced to look inward\, see who they truly are and find the courage to make a change. \nSet to the unforgettable music of Alanis Morissette\, the show features hits like “All I Really Want\,” “Ironic\,” “You Oughta Know\,” “You Learn” and more. Against this timeless and incisive rock music backdrop\, the show explores the messy and beautiful intersection of love\, strength\, trauma and identity and proves that it’s never too late to change your way of thinking. \nDirected by Remy Sisk and Myranda Thomas \nFunds raised from the show will help support the revitalization of an Old Louisville church that Time Slip recently moved into. Located at 100 W. Ormsby Ave.\, the building will be a theatre and community arts hub where Time Slip will produce its mainstage shows and host its after-school children’s program. \nMore information is available at timesliptheatre.org. \n\nEvent Date:\nJan 30 – Feb 8\, 2026 \nWebsite / Ticket Link:\nhttps://www.actorstheatre.org/events/jagged-little-pill \nLocation:\nActors Theatre of Louisville \nEvent Host:\nTime Slip Theatre \n\nShowtimes:\nFri\, January 30\, 2026\n8:00 pm \nSat\, January 31\, 2026\n8:00 pm \nSun\, February 1\, 2026\n5:30 pm \nMon\, February 2\, 2026\n8:00 pm \nThu\, February 5\, 2026\n8:00 pm \nFri\, February 6\, 2026\n8:00 pm \nSat\, February 7\, 2026\n8:00 pm \nSun\, February 8\, 2026\n2:30 pm \n
