DESCRIPTION:Our next Brightside & WM Community-Wide Cleanup will be Saturday\, October 24\, 2026!\nWe encourage all residents to take part in Brightside’s Community-Wide Cleanups. Held in the spring and fall\, the events are a great service opportunity for boy/girl scouts\, sports teams\, faith groups and community organizations. It could also be a corporate team bonding opportunity! \nCleanups are an integral part of Brightside’s mission and without the help of volunteer groups\, and many other volunteers throughout the year\, Brightside could not achieve their goals of a cleaner\, greener Louisville. \nNeighborhoods can hold their own cleanups at any point throughout the year and we can provide gloves and bags for each Neighborhood Cleanup. We will work with Solid Waste Management to have the collected litter bags picked up. Give us a call at (502) 574-2613 or register online about two weeks prior to your event to schedule your cleanup. Once registered\, please contact us to schedule a supply pickup time. \nThanks to each and every volunteer who supports the Brightside Community-Wide Cleanup\, for your time and dedication – we can’t do it without you! \n\n2026 Fall Community-Wide Cleanup\nWhile groups across Louisville are hosting their own cleanup\, we want to invite you to make a difference in your community by joining one of these three cleanup opportunities! DESCRIPTION:Help us celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up the waterways at the Parklands on Saturday\, April 19th from 10am – 12pm! \nBring water\, a snack\, gloves\, and trash pickers if you have them. We will provide trash bags and all other necessary supplies. Expect to meet Parklands Staff at one of the trailheads in the park near Floyds Fork and spend a couple of hours cleaning up the areas surrounding the creek. \nPlease sign up using the ticketing link and check the email you provided when registering one week before the creek sweep for the exact location to meet. \nAlso\, note that this is a highly weather-dependent activity due to rapidly changing creek levels in the spring.
