SUMMARY:Tuesday Beginner Pottery Class (6 weeks)
DESCRIPTION:Six weeks to learn\, throw\, glaze\, and grow—take home up to 6 finished ceramic pieces. (4/21-5/26) \n\nWelcome to six weeks of clay-covered hands\, spinning wheels\, and creative fun at Loopy Dough. \nThis course is designed for beginners and returning students who want to slow down\, get a little messy\, and build real skills on the pottery wheel—no experience needed. \nAll materials are included (clay\, tools\, firings\, and glazes). Just bring yourself and an apron if you’d like one. \nWe meet once a week for 2 hours\, with each week building on the last: \n\nWeek 1: Studio intro\, clay prep\, and wheel demo—meet the wheel and make your first forms\nWeek 2: More wheel time! Practice\, repetition\, and getting comfy throwing\nWeek 3: Trimming day—clean up your pieces and refine your shapes\nWeek 4: Back to throwing with more intention and confidence\nWeek 5: Final trimming and finishing touches before firing\nWeek 6: Glaze day! Choose from Loopy Dough’s full glaze library and bring your pieces to life\n\n\nStudents may keep up to 5 finished pieces\, all fired and glazed by the studio. $10 for each extra piece fired beyond the 6. \nA quick note on the process: pottery has a mind of its own. While we guide you every step of the way\, firing ceramics comes with some natural risk\, and occasional cracks\, warping\, or breakage can happen. It’s all part of the magic (and mystery) of clay. \nThis is a small-group\, encouraging\, judgment-free space focused on learning\, experimenting\, and enjoying the process—not perfection. \nCome ready to play\, learn\, and fall a little in love with the wheel 💛🌀 \n

SUMMARY:Ethel Cain: The Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour
DESCRIPTION:Iroquois Amphitheater welcomes Ethel Cain on the Louisville stop of her “The Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour” on Wednesday\, April 29th with support from 9million. \nEthel Cain is the creation of Florida-born multidisciplinary artist Hayden Anhedönia. After years spent teaching herself to produce at home in the Florida panhandle and releasing various projects\, Cain moved to Indiana and single-handedly wrote\, produced\, recorded and mixed her acclaimed 2021 EP Inbred from the basement of the old church where she lived. \nSince then\, she has released three bodies of work. Her 2022 debut album Preacher’s Daughter\, a multimedia work that took more than four years to assemble\, was released in May 2022 to widespread praise\, with many critics naming the album one of the best of the year. In 2025 she has unveiled Perverts\, a 90-minute project exploring her furthest afield inspirations from ambient and drone\, and her sophomore LP Willoughby Tucker\, I’ll Always Love You\, both to near-universal acclaim. \nCain has played headline shows and packed festival sets around the world and is currently in the midst of her completely sold out Willoughby Tucker Forever tour; walked in New York and Paris fashion weeks and worked with Dior\, Givenchy\, Miu Miu and Calvin Klein; and collaborated and shared stages with Florence + the Machine\, Mitski and more. \nEthel Cain has partnered with The Ally Coalition so that one dollar from every ticket sold will go to organizations committed to serving the Trans community. \nDoors: 7:00 pm \nShow: 8:00 pm
