SUMMARY:Will Wright @ Kentucky Kingdom
DESCRIPTION:Nineteen-year-old Kentucky-born and raised\, singer/songwriter\, Will Wright\, has been making music (and noise) his whole life. Will started his musical career performing basement concerts at home for all his family. Will eventually began singing in church and in his elementary school choir. \nFast forward to 2019. Since then\, Will has been entertaining crowds with his high-energy acoustic performances. \nHe blends his deep country roots with a little rock\, bluegrass\, and even a little pop for a fun crowd-pleasing show. \nWill wrote his first song following an 8th grade school trip. He released “The Ones that Fought for the Flag” in May 2022. His latest release\, “Friday Night Buddies” tells the story of a teenage boy in a small town hanging out with friends\, and it quickly gained Will a lot of attention as an up-and-coming songwriter and artist. \nWith more than 3.5 million views and over 1.4 million likes on TikTok\, it’s no secret why Will has been a fixture on the music scene in and around his hometown of Bardstown\, KY for over four years. He had the privilege of performing on stage at the Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills\, Tennessee. \nLast fall\, Will headlined the Harvest Stage at Kentucky Kingdom’s “Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom.” \n\n  \nWe’re big fans of Kentucky Kingdom Theme & Water Park — check out our recent visit here! \nAnd you can save 20% on online park tickets using our promo code “THINGSTOLOU20”. SUMMARY:Camp Taylor Community Nights | family friendly\, free
DESCRIPTION:Councilwoman Raymond hosts five free Camp Taylor Community Nights \nMay 27\, 2025 \nLouisville (May 27\, 2025) – Councilwoman Josie Raymond (D-10) invites District 10 families and residents to a series of free\, family-friendly events this summer at Camp Taylor Memorial Park\, located at 4201 Lee Avenue. \nDue to the delayed reopening of the Camp Taylor pool\, Councilwoman Raymond is reallocating operational and security funding to support alternative programming designed to bring the community together in fun and engaging ways. \nThe Camp Taylor Community Nights will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on select Thursday evenings: May 29\, June 12\, June 26\, July 10\, and July 24. Each evening will feature a variety of free activities\, developed with input from residents through a community survey. \n“I’m still heartbroken the pool won’t be ready this summer as originally planned\,” said Councilwoman Raymond. “I’m excited to offer these creative and family-friendly community nights as a new way to connect and celebrate the district.” \nEach event will highlight different themes and partners\, with activities ranging from inflatables to a videogame truck to a petting zoo\, and community institutions including the LouCity & Racing Louisville Foundation\, Louisville Sports Commission\, and Louisville Zoo. A special thanks to Louisville Parks and Recreation for making these events possible. \n“I encourage all District 10 residents to join us in the park this summer. Let’s make the most of these evenings and build stronger community bonds\,” said Raymond. \nCamp Taylor Community Night Schedule \nMay 29 – soccer clinic\, inflatables\, cotton candy\, and popcorn\nJune 12 – petting zoo and cow-milking demonstration\nJune 26 – We Play Family Field Day\nJuly 10 – video game truck and Nerf wars\nJuly 24 – soccer clinic and workout classes\nFor additional information\, please contact Councilwoman Raymond’s office at (502) 574-1110. \n  \n***description from press release
