DESCRIPTION:There are two versions of our production of Well Behaved Womxn…. \nThe Junior version of the show features dancers from the Ambo Dance Theatre School and is geared toward all ages with its family-friendly and sensory-friendly format. \nThe regular version features Ambo Dance Theatre’s professional company members and is catered to a slightly more mature audience base (ages 10+). \nWhile these productions are both unique and complete in and of themselves\, they are a series of dance works celebrating the underrepresented stories of womxn who have changed the world and not received their due credit! \nBased on the saying “Well behaved womxn seldom make history\,” this production serves to empower the current and rising generation by connecting them with the stories and figures that paved the way for their ascension. While Well Behaved Womxn… Jr. and the professional company production of Well Behaved Womxn… both center on womxn’s stories\, the professional company pieces are longer form works created and performed by professionals. \nShow dates are June 5-7\, 2026 \n\nSHOW DATES/TIMES: \nThere will be two showings of Well Behaved Womxn… (PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION): \nFriday\, June 5th @ 7pm \nSaturday\, June 6th @ 7pm \nThere will also be two showings of Well Behaved Womxn… Jr. (FAMILY- AND COMMUNITY-CENTRIC PRODUCTION): \nSaturday\, June 6th @ 2pm \nSunday\, June 7th @ 2pm

DESCRIPTION:About the show: “PHANTASMAGORIA” is a marionette variety show featuring a rotating cast of characters all designed\, built\, and brought to life to an original score by Puppet Pants. \nSpecializing in marionette making and manipulation\, Puppet Pants delivers a wordless performance that has intrigued and delighted audiences of all ages and backgrounds across the United States. \nThe puppeteer performs in full view\, but fades into the background as clowns\, monsters\, and mysteries amuse and interact with the audience. \n“PHANTASMAGORIA” is filled with whimsical acts ranging from endearing to odd\, but always made for all backgrounds and ages to enjoy. Somewhat circusy\, a little edgy but tongue in cheek\, and ending with a call to action to believe in yourself and follow your dreams. \nDirector’s Note: “PHANTASMAGORIA” is not a children’s show\, but there aren’t any adult themes\, either.  \nIt is designed to subvert expectations from a “typical” marionette variety show and can elicit an impactful emotional response from audience members. \nThere are themes of European Clown Theater\, pantomime\, music and dance\, acrobatics\, horror\, and endearing moments with the audience. The wordless performance allows audience members to take away their own interpretations of each piece.
