DESCRIPTION:See the cattle in their natural environment and get the opportunity to interact with them. One booking spot is for a group of 1 to 5 people will get hands on with a few of the tamer cows\, be able to feed them treats\, brush them\, take your own pics with them and we will teach you about their breed. \n*New for this year are our Weekly Morning Farm Visits* \nThe weekend and evening spots fill up quickly and there are only so many of them. We are offering for those who can take off of work a chance to beat the crowd a discount on a farm visit. \n\nUSE CODE “ThingsToLou10” to save $15 off your booking!\n\nChildren need to be at least 5 years old. \nWe will answer any questions you may have about their breed or how we care for them. You will get to see the herd and how they interact with each other. We have several colors and different ages of Highlands to see. Safety will be ensured during your visit as your group leader will show you how to interact with them. Please wear comfortable shoes that are suitable for the cattle pasture\, flip flops or sandals are not recommended. Depending on where on the farm the cattle are\, your visit may include a short walk to the next field over or a short gator ride to the pasture. There is a small chance that we could get rained out and if that happens we will work with everyone to reschedule the visits. We do have a clean porta potty available. \n5 people max in a group. \nNo refunds will be given once booked\, but if you give us 24 hrs notice if something should come up\, we can reschedule you. \nYou may bring apples or carrots\, fig bars\, white bread or horse treats to feed them snacks. They will love you for it! \nWe have logo merchandise for sale such as t shirts\, coffee mugs\, stickers\, hats\, highland cow stuffed animals and sweatshirts. We take cash\, Venmo or Paypal for the merchandise. \n$125 \n\nAbout TC Highlands Farm: \nWe raise registered Scottish Highland Cattle in Shelby County\, Kentucky. We strive to stay true to the breed and to raise quality cattle\, no mini’s here! We do a lot at the farm including showing in AHCA sanctioned shows and of course agritourism when we aren’t breeding and calving. We are excited to share the breed we are so passionate about with you. \nWe hope to give you something different\, an experience you will remember! Pricing for visits to the farm is by the group\, not per person. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day with us on Friday\, April 17th\, from 5–9 PM at Earth Day Fest! \nEnjoy an evening filled with free tree giveaways\, live music\, food and beer\, trivia\, community partner booths\, local vendors\, and more. \n\nEarth Day is officially celebrated on April 22nd each year to raise awareness and support for environmental protection ― but The Parklands is getting the party started early! Join us for live music and nature trivia\, pick up a free tree while supplies last\, and enjoy live acoustic performances in the Woodland Garden. \nEarth Day Fest will take place at the Ogle Foundation Woodland Pavilion and the Moss Gibbs Woodland Garden in Broad Run Park. This event is free and family-friendly! Please no outside drinks or coolers. \n\nSchedule of events:\nVendor booths\, food trucks\, West Sixth Brewing\, field games\, and community partner tables will be set up to browse throughout the event. \n5:00: Free Tree Giveaway – Receive a free native tree while supplies last! Chat with Louisville Metro office of Urban Forestry’s certified arborists to get the best recommendations on trees that fit your space. \n*One tree per household limit. Trees are being donated by the Louisville Metro office of Urban Forestry; they ask that\, since the funds come from Jefferson County taxpayers\, the trees go to residents in Jefferson County. Please be prepared to show a valid driver’s license with an address listed within the county. \n5:00 – 7:00: Woodland Garden Music Walk – Enjoy a self-guided walk through the Moss Gibbs Woodland Garden. As the sun goes down\, the garden comes alive with various live acoustic performances stationed throughout the walkways and rooms of the garden. Stay tuned for a full list of Woodland Garden Musicians coming soon! \n*Please note that while dogs are welcome at Earth Day Fest\, they will not be allowed in the Woodland Garden portion of the event. \n6:30 – 7:00: Nature Trivia Round – A short round of trivia will be played under the Woodland Pavilion! To participate\, please pick up a trivia paper at The Parklands Welcome Table at the entrance or from the trivia hosts at the start of each round\, then join us under the Woodland Pavilion to hear the questions and test your nature knowledge! \n6:30 – 9:00: Live Music under The Woodland Pavilion – Enjoy live music under the Woodland Pavilion\, bring a chair to enjoy the band from the lawn. During breaks in the music\, short rounds of nature trivia will be played\, and prizes will be awarded after each round! \n8:30 – 9:00: Nature Trivia Round – A short round of trivia will be played under the Woodland Pavilion!
