SUMMARY:Ace Frehley | with Slaughter and Quiet Riot
DESCRIPTION:Ace Frehley – with Slaughter and Quiet Riot \nJuly 12 \nDoors – 6:30 pm \nShow – 7:30 pm \nBUY TICKETS \nDon’t miss Ace Frehley performing many of the KISS classic hits alongside Slaughter and Quiet Riot on July 12th at Iroquois Amphitheater! The only thing more recognizable than Ace Frehley’s signature “Spaceman” makeup is his guitar playing. Thundering riffs and singable solos have enshrined him as one of the most influential\, inspiring\, and impactful musicians of all time. Simply put\, rock ‘n’ roll and heavy metal wouldn’t sound\, look\, or feel the same without him. \nAmong hundreds of accolades\, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® inducted him in 2014 as a Co-founder and the original lead guitarist of Kiss. Guitar World named him in the Top 15 of its “100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time” and plugged the lead from “Shock Me” on the “50 Greatest Guitar Solos of All Time.” Magnifying the imprint of his catalog as a solo artist\, Foo Fighters cut a fan-favorite cover of “Ozone\,” and he even jammed out “New York Groove” alongside The Roots on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. \nThe late Dimebag Darrell of Pantera proudly sported a tattoo of Frehley on his chest\, while Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine celebrated him on X/Twitter as “My first guitar hero.” Embedded in popular culture\, he also\, penned the New York Times bestselling memoir No Regrets\, and packed venues everywhere on tour for decades. \n\nFor the past decade SLAUGHTER has continued to tour\, performing 40 – 50 shows per year at casinos\, fairs\, festivals and biker rallies all across the US to record-breaking audiences. The band has shown that with perseverance and sheer talent\, a band can survive and win over the support of fans. What’s most important is that their music is still here– and the vast majority of critics who panned them in the past are not\, and that’s as good as gold.\nQUIET RIOT is a rock & roll phenomenon. Famously described as the first heavy metal band to top the pop chart at #1 on Billboard magazine\, the Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their monster 1983 smash album “Metal Health”\n\n  \n***description from website

SUMMARY:Will Wright @ Kentucky Kingdom
DESCRIPTION:Nineteen-year-old Kentucky-born and raised\, singer/songwriter\, Will Wright\, has been making music (and noise) his whole life. Will started his musical career performing basement concerts at home for all his family. Will eventually began singing in church and in his elementary school choir. \nFast forward to 2019. Since then\, Will has been entertaining crowds with his high-energy acoustic performances. \nHe blends his deep country roots with a little rock\, bluegrass\, and even a little pop for a fun crowd-pleasing show. \nWill wrote his first song following an 8th grade school trip. He released “The Ones that Fought for the Flag” in May 2022. His latest release\, “Friday Night Buddies” tells the story of a teenage boy in a small town hanging out with friends\, and it quickly gained Will a lot of attention as an up-and-coming songwriter and artist. \nWith more than 3.5 million views and over 1.4 million likes on TikTok\, it’s no secret why Will has been a fixture on the music scene in and around his hometown of Bardstown\, KY for over four years. He had the privilege of performing on stage at the Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills\, Tennessee. \nLast fall\, Will headlined the Harvest Stage at Kentucky Kingdom’s “Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom.” \n\n  \nWe’re big fans of Kentucky Kingdom Theme & Water Park — check out our recent visit here! \nAnd you can save 20% on online park tickets using our promo code “THINGSTOLOU20”. SUMMARY:Barenaked Ladies @ Iroquois
DESCRIPTION:After more than three decades as the lead singer and guitarist for Barenaked Ladies\, Ed Robertson has a routine when it comes time to start writing songs for a new album. “I tend to get ideas while I’m driving up to my lake house\,” he says. “I record voice memos along the way\, and then I listen back and try to make sense of them and mix and match the various ideas I’ve come up with. On a typical drive\, I’m happy if I get six or seven — eight ideas would be a good drive. The results mark a new chapter for a band that’s sold more than 15 million albums\, earned Grammy nominations and won multiple Juno Awards\, and in 2018\, were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. \nIn Flight\, BNL’s eighteenth studio album\, retains the dry wit and keen observation we expect from Robertson\, bassist Jim Creeggan\, keyboardist/guitarist Kevin Hearn and drummer Tyler Stewart\, but adds a strong sense of maturing and lessons learned. Barenaked Ladies have become an institution\, with a passionately dedicated audience (enough for them to headline their own cruises and have an ice cream flavor named after them) and a constant flow of new fans (plenty of whom discover the band through their theme song to the endlessly popular The Big Bang Theory). \n***Description from website
