Award-winning, international chef joins historic hotel
The iconic, century-old Brown Hotel has announced renowned chef Gary Palm has joined the culinary team as executive chef.
An acclaimed industry veteran, Chef Palm brings more than three decades of diverse international culinary experience to Louisville’s coveted dining scene.
Chef Palm has worked for renowned five-star hotels and Michelin star restaurants around the world including in the United States, China, France, India, Indonesia, Monaco and South Korea.
“Chef Palm brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team and his standout talent speaks for itself,” said General Manager Brad Walker.
“We are delighted to have him leading our outstanding kitchen staff and know he will greatly contribute to the continued success of our historic, award-winning culinary program.”
After earning a culinary arts degree from Johnson & Wales University, the Massachusetts native’s prolific culinary career took off after earning an apprenticeship in Mougin, France at age 22.
“I look forward to bringing my worldwide culinary experience to create dishes using beautiful products from the local farms of our region,” said Palm.
“I aim to inspire and continue to develop our talented team to become leaders in the industry.”
Chef Palm takes great pride in mentoring and motivating his team to excel in their craft by supporting and training them to become leaders of the future.
He is a member of the James Beard Foundation, has garnered notoriety from numerous prestigious North American, Asian and European culinary accolades and is currently pursuing an American Culinary Federation Executive Chef certification.
