Event Overview After a one-year hiatus, A Taste for Life returns to Louisville, Kentucky—bringing together Chris Williams of Four Pegs Smokehouse, 40+ chefs, 20 beverage stations, and members of the service industry for an impactful afternoon of food, community, and purpose. The event honors Anthony Bourdain, whose influence continues to resonate deeply within the hospitality community.
The Mission A Taste for Life underscores a simple truth: the service industry is demanding and often takes a toll. Long hours, late nights, and high-pressure environments can increase the risk of mental health challenges, addiction, and suicide. Too many—both within the industry and beyond—don’t know where to turn for help. Through the power of food and community, this event raises awareness, normalizes seeking support, and connects people to vital local resources. All proceeds benefit NAMI Louisville and The Pete Foundation.
What to Expect • Unlimited tastings from over 40 local chefs • Liquor & Beer Tastings • Guest speakers from NAMI and The Pete Foundation “Don’t give in to stigma. A diagnosis does not determine who you are or what you can do!” NAMI
