Maybe It’s Fate, a pioneering member-owned cooperative located at 1425 Story Ave in the vibrant Butchertown neighborhood, is thrilled to announce the opening reception for its summer exhibitions:

Conscious Collective: A Painter’s View and With Insects We Share the Same Light

The opening event for both exhibitions is scheduled for May 9th, 2026, 5 pm – 8 pm.

The summer shows will be on exhibit at Maybe It’s Fate, 1425 Story Ave, Louisville, KY.


Conscious Collective: A Painter’s View, curated by Aaron Lubrick, brings together a diverse group of artists united by their dedication to painting to explore themes of shared humanity, interconnectedness, and optimism through deliberate, contemplative works that foster a sense of celebration and camaraderie within the broader community.

With Insects We Share the Same Light: Curated by Clare Hirn, With Insects We Share the Same Light invites viewers to deepen their appreciation for insects — Earth’s most diverse organisms and ecological cornerstone for over 350 million years — and to reflect on their critical role and increasing vulnerability in the Anthropocene era.

MaybeItsFate is a Louisville-based and member-owned social collective and club. Our mission is to foster the conditions for emergence — the emergence of new connections, ideas, art, and opportunities — through spaces designed for anyone who desires to be plugged into the creative pulse of the city. The collective is a member-owned cooperative that fosters a physical space and virtual space to fulfill its mission.

The physical space offers a public art gallery and a members-only salon. The virtual space offers access to ideas, art, events, and opportunities for members from anywhere.
